Avelo Airlines is adding its name to the list of airline companies completing 10,000 flights. The 10,000th flight departed from Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) in Los Angeles. This achievement was made in under three years after launching the airline in April 2021; this is a sign that the carrier is really getting popular.
Since its first flight, Avelo has flown over 1.1 million customers, representing the high demand for the service. The airline has announced a special offer in which its one-way fares to 14 hot West Coast spots will cost as little as $51, in honor of such an accomplishment. The offer is good only for a limited time and, hopefully, will open its service to many more travelers, making known the new destinations.
The airline will serve a wide array of places from Hollywood Burbank Airport that should please people with varying interests:
- Sonoma County (STS): Wine Country
- Bend/Redmond, Oregon (RDM): Outdoor Adventure Capital
- Boise, Idaho (BOI): Vibrant Capital City of Idaho
- Bozeman, Montana (BZN): Gateway to Yellowstone National Park

Andrew Levy, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Avelo Airlines, added, “We are very excited to celebrate flying 10,000 flights between Los Angeles and our popular network of 14 west coast destinations. The more than 1.1 million customers we’ve flown in and out of BUR since taking flight three years ago is a testament to the convenience, affordability, and reliability that distinguish Avelo.”
Avelo itself has named its carrier “America’s Most Convenient Airline” because it is focused on unserved and underserved routes and has teamed up with smaller airports that bring to mind a more user-friendly air travel experience. So, this presents an opportunity for smoother, more delightful travel, devoid of the hectic scenes often experienced at large airports.
Its dedication to reliability has not gone unnoticed. The carrier ranked third in on-time performance industry-wide for the 2024 first quarter, first in U.S. on-time performance, and had the lowest flight cancellation rate in May. The marks again were two months in a row. For the year’s first five months, it was leading all U.S. carriers in on-time performance and ranked second for the lowest rate of cancellations, according to data compiled by Anuvu, one of the leading aviation data services companies.
