Allegiant Air Announces Changes to Boeing 737 MAX 8 Service Schedule for 2024-2025 Winter Travel Season

Low-cost operator Allegiant Air, a favorite for grabbing budget-friendly and convenient flight deals, announced to investors this week certain changes regarding its plans to include Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. In the latest update, Allegiant said its launch date for this service would now begin October 2, 2024, right after its previously mentioned initial entry-into-service date.

The impact will affect numerous routes, most of which make connections between different U.S. cities and key Florida destinations. Travelers will be thrilled with more comfort and added efficiency since the Boeing 737 MAX 8 will complement this experience throughout the winter months.

The Boeing 737 MAX 8 is designed to be much more comfortable for passengers, generate less noise, and increase fuel efficiency.   • Service from Fort Lauderdale to Asheville will begin on October 29, 2024, and November 5, 2024.
  • Myrtle Beach to Harrisburg—August 10, 2024, October 24, 2024, and October 27, 2024.

The Orlando Sanford International Airport will see the biggest route growth with the new aircraft. The Akron/Canton and Allentown Service is slated to begin on October 3, 2024. Appleton flights are anticipated to begin on January 2, 2025, while Asheville service will be operated from October 29 through November 6, 2024.
